seeking prosperity for all

I am starting my blog on this pious day of anant chatudashi .Hindu devotees bring home and also offer prayers in temporary temples built for idols of Lord Ganesha in order to invoke his blessings for wisdom and prosperity during the Ganesha Festival which culminates with the immersion of the idols in the Arabian Sea on this day.Devotees carry an idol of Lord Ganesh, the deity of prosperity, to immerse it in the waters of the Arabian Sea on the last day of "Ganesh Chaturthi".

In 1893, Indian freedom fighter and social reformer Lokmanya Tilak transformed the annual festival into a large, well-organized public event in order to bridge the gap among different castes.all communities come together against the British rule.even in current perspective this festival can play a big role in maintaining the communal harmony and removing many evils from the society.

Lord Ganesha is widely worshiped as the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune.on this day we pray to lord Ganesha for wisdom so that our acts result in prosperity and good fortune for all.
